About Dr. Byron Black
Dr. Black was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He was raised in southern West Virginia and graduated from Hamlin High School in 1967. He attended West Virginia University where he received his undergraduate degree in dentistry and completed his oral surgery training. He is a Board Certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon and has been practicing in the Charleston area since 1977. He is involved in community fundraising through several dental organizations. He is an active member of the ADA, the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, the West Virginia Dental Association, the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and the West Virginia Oral Surgery Society. He, his wife Julia and their three children, Kristen, Will and Byron reside on their Christmas Tree farm in Jackson County.
