A brow lift is also known as a forehead lift because it addresses the upper third of the face, not including the area around the eyes. A brow lift creates a youthful appearance to the face by smoothing forehead lines and wrinkles, reducing the depth of the vertical lines between the eyebrows, and repositioning the eyebrows. A brow lift is commonly performed in conjunction with other surgeries, such as a facelift.
Brow Lift Procedure
You and your surgeon will discuss and determine your type of brow lift procedure during your consultation appointment. Your medical history, current health status, and attainable goals will also be discussed.
A brow lift is typically performed under IV sedation or general anesthesia. Your surgeon will make small incisions within the hairline using an endoscope, which allows for minimal scar tissue and accelerated healing. The underlying tissues will be carefully elevated before the skin is placed back to be sutured. Excess skin is removed.
