Bea's dental implant procedure was incredibly quick and easy.
My overall experience with Mountain State has been very, very good overall. The people at the front desk - they make you very comfortable when you first come in. All the doctors that I've experienced with here at Mountain State are very approachable and very warm. When they did the implant, it was six minutes, is all it took. I've had a very successful recovery every time I've had an implant. They've called me to check on me to see how I'm doing, but I just don't have any trouble with it. For me, I would give Mountain State the five stars because I haven't had any problems or any complaints.

My overall experience at Mountain State has been fantastic. I did my research before I came to the practice. They have a great reputation. I met the doctor at the first consultation. It was obvious he was knowledgeable. He understood what needed to be done and how it was going to be done. He also even took the time to explain how the handoff would be to my personal dentist. The whole team - it was just very comprehensive, and everybody knew their part and helped me move through the process very efficiently. I could definitely give Mountain State five stars because of the people, the process, the depth of knowledge into what they do. It's definitely a place I could easily recommend.

When I'm at the practice, it's a very warm environment with professionalism by all of the staff and the physicians. The team at Mountain State works really well together. It's easy to notice when you're going through the process. Dr. Krajekian is an excellent surgeon. He has a strong reputation in the Charleston region. The procedure went well. It went precisely as Dr. Krajekian had previously briefed, and the recovery was quick. Overall, it was a very nice experience. The dental implant was such a success that I no longer know which tooth was replaced by Dr. Krajekian. If you live in the Pea Ridge area and you need any type of oral surgery, I highly recommend Mountain State.

Meet Debra Ann
Dr. Brock placed Debra Ann's dental implant.
I had a tooth that actually was bothering me quite a bit. Therefore, I decided to go ahead and set up a consultation with Dr. John Brock at Mountain State and talked about dental implants, so I was able to get a dental implant placed. I actually had great results. Very satisfied with the dental implant. Dr. John Brock, he's a very compassionate man. He's a very considerate man, and he listens. I would definitely recommend him to any of my family, which I have. There's a place that you can actually have your smile back, and that's at Mountain State.
Judy was comforted by the knowledge of our staff.
I had been to my dentist, and he referred me to Dr. Brock at Mountain State. I had a bridge previously, and it had broken, but after I spoke to Dr. Brock, he explained everything that was going to happen. It went great - better than I expected. Dr. Brock is a wonderful guy. He explains everything so you're not afraid. Mountain State was wonderful. They were so pleasant and so knowledgeable, and they seem like they really care about your experience. I would definitely recommend Mountain State.
Dr. Brock replaced Mike's broken tooth.
I had a chipped, broken tooth. When I went in and spoke with Dr. Brock, we discussed just pulling the tooth and getting implants. Dr. Brock is a great oral surgeon. I was actually eating normal foods that evening. I couldn't ask for a better staff. My interests were their interests - just a great bunch of all-around people. I'm not ashamed to smile anymore - just an all-around better outlook, I guess. Dr. Brock and his staff are top-notch people, and they really did make me feel like family.
Amanda was pleased with our doctors' bedside manners.
I had a tooth that was fractured. It was a molar, so it needed to come out, but that is one of the chewing areas, so I decided to have a dental implant placed so that I wouldn't lose chewing service. I decided to have my dental implant done here because our doctors have a great bedside manner, and they really care about their patients. I was never nervous to have any of the surgeons here work on me. I've seen the way that the surgeons at Mountain State Oral Surgeons treat their patients and care for them, and their just general interest in the patient and their well-being, so I had no worries in my mind at all about them caring for me. My procedure went great. I never had any post-op problems, and I'm looking forward to getting my dental crown to go on and being completed.
Nanci was put at ease during her dental implant placement.
I have a history of teeth issues, and my dentist suggested that I come to Mountain State Oral to go through the implant procedure along with a bone graft as well. Oh yes, I was very nervous. Just dentists, in particular, is nerve-wracking for me. I came to my appointment, went through some x-rays, and then I spoke with the surgeon himself. I felt at ease the minute he came into the room, and he made me feel that way. He explained in detail the procedure, told me what I should expect, and everything he said was true. My recovery was really good. It was just what I expected. They called to check up on me the next day - treatment by even the receptionist, the registration process, all the assistants. I would definitely recommend Mountain State Oral Surgeons. I've been a patient three times, and my children have been here for almost 15 years.
Rebecca restored her smile with dental implants.
I had a few missing teeth in the back, and after I started working here, I looked into the dental implants and thought I'd be a great candidate for that, so I ended up talking with the surgeons and had a couple of implants placed. It went great. Everybody - the staff and the doctors - were very friendly and nice. They called and checked on me to make sure everything was doing well and that I was doing well after the procedure. They were just very professional, courteous, and friendly and just were really easy to deal with. I would highly recommend anyone needing a dental implant to go to Mountain State Oral & Facial Surgery to see one of the doctors there.
Terry's smile was restored through dental implant placement.
Well, I had several complications with my bridge and wanted to go to Mountain State to get a dental implant. I wanted a dental implant because I heard the success rate on those was very high. Well, he talked to me about what would be involved. I would probably have to do a sinus lift because the tooth had been missing for several years, and he explained it very thoroughly, and with no complications, I had it done. Dr. Hunsaker was very professional - couldn't ask for a better doctor/surgeon to do the implant. The whole group was just very professional, explained everything very thorough, stayed with me the whole time to make sure I wasn't nervous or if I had any questions or anything that I needed answered, they were right there. If any of my friends or relatives needed a dental implant, I would highly recommend Mountain State.
Linda underwent a complete smile transformation.
I went to my dentist in Cross Lanes and told him I was tired of my bottom denture always keeping my gums so sore, and I had decided I'd like to try implants. Dr. Krajekian did a full-arch and a bone graft on my lower jaw with four implants and a full denture. I've been very pleased with it; he did a good job. I've been able to eat things that I haven't eaten in years. I wish I had done it years ago when I was younger. Dr. Krajekian was very professional, very, very friendly. He is not one to put the implants in and say, "Let's hurry up and get this done and move onto the next patient." He said he was here for me; he was looking out for my best interests. He was exceptionally good. I would recommend him to anybody.

What are dental Implants?
Dental implants are uniquely designed in 3 parts to emulate the structure of a natural tooth. They also provide the support needed to chew, speak, and smile with complete confidence. Dental implants look, feel, and function just like natural teeth!
The 3 parts of an implant include:
The implant post (also called the screw). This piece is typically made of medical-grade titanium and is the first piece placed in the mouth. Once implanted into the jaw, it integrates with the bone during the healing period in the same manner as a natural tooth root.
The abutment. The abutment is the connecting piece that holds the custom-made crown to the implant post.
The crown. Once the dental implant post sufficiently heals in the jaw, the crown connects to the top of the implant post with the abutment. The crown is custom-made to blend seamlessly with the surrounding teeth for a natural-looking result.
All of our board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeons are trained to provide the full scope of oral surgery options. We use the most advanced tools and surgical techniques available. We encourage you to contact us to schedule a consultation appointment, where you will receive a thorough examination and a personalized treatment plan.
What are the benefits?
Dental implants are the preferred tooth replacement option because they fully restore both aesthetics and oral function. Other dental prostheses can replace missing teeth to give the patient a complete smile, but they cannot provide the benefits of dental implants. The most common advantages that dental implants have over other tooth restorations include
Dental implants preserve the health of your jawbone. The roots of your natural teeth continuously stimulate the bone in your jaw when you chew to keep the jawbones healthy. The jawbone does not receive this stimulation if missing teeth are replaced with bridges and dentures. That is because these bridges and dentures only rest on the gums. The result is jawbone atrophy, which can cause a host of oral health problems as well as a sunken look to the face. Dental implants are true tooth replacements, root and all, and they stimulate the jaw just like real teeth. They are the only replacement option that prevents jawbone loss.
Dental implants require no special care. Dental implants function just like natural teeth. Regular brushing and flossing is all you need!
Dental implants can last a lifetime. Most traditional tooth restorations must be replaced after several years of use. Dental implants fuse with the jawbone, making them stable and permanent. With proper oral care and regular dental exams, they can last a lifetime.
Dental implants are versatile. Dental implants can be used to restore a single tooth, several teeth, or as part of full-arch restoration to replace an entire arch of teeth. If you are healthy enough to undergo a minor dental procedure, you are most likely a candidate for dental implants.
How does the procedure work?
We know every patient is different. That's why your oral surgeon will customize your treatment plan to your specific needs. When you visit us for your consultation appointment, we will take 3D scans of your mouth, discuss anesthesia options, and design your personalized treatment plan.
On the day of your procedure, our welcoming staff members will guide you through every step of the process. First, you will choose anesthesia that you're comfortable with. Once the anesthetic has taken effect, your doctor will carefully place the implant post into the empty tooth socket and stitch the surgical site closed. When the anesthesia has worn off, you can return home.
The dental implant will need to heal and fuse with the jawbone over the next few months. During that time, your restorative dentist will create your custom-designed crown. When you are ready, your restorative dentist will attach the custom-made crown to your abutment. You're ready to enjoy your fully functioning, natural-looking dental implant!
