About Dr. Ravelo
Dr. Ravelo is new to Mountain State Oral & Facial Surgery and the Charleston area — he comes to us from Miami, Florida, where he practiced oral surgery at the Oral Facial Reconstruction and Implant Center of South Florida. Dr. Ravelo grew up in Caracas, Venezuela, the son of a prominent oral surgeon, and is trained in the full spectrum of the oral and maxillofacial surgery specialty. He has extensive experience in facial trauma surgery, tumor and reconstructive surgery, tissue engineering, growth factors, corrective jaw surgery, dental implantology, management of impacted wisdom teeth, and advanced ambulatory anesthesia techniques. The doctor has spent many rewarding years volunteering his time to treat young children with cleft lip and palate disorders and is a member of several national professional organizations. He speaks Spanish fluently.
Dr. Ravelo would like his Mountain State Oral & Facial Surgery patients to know that he is thrilled to join the practice, and his priority is, as always, to offer his patients compassionate care that goes beyond their expectations. In fact, at Mountain State Oral & Facial Surgery, Dr. Ravelo is proud that the doctors and staff are so much more than just a team — they’re a family, and they consider their patients family, too. The doctor is committed to listening intently to his patients’ desires and preferences and is happy to answer questions and enjoys keeping his patients well-informed at every step along their oral surgery journey. Making a positive difference in people’s lives with his surgical expertise is Dr. Ravelo’s passion.
