About Dr. Ledford
Dr. Ledford is a Tennessee native and was raised in a rural area about 30 miles away from Chattanooga. He developed an interest in dentistry while in school at University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. This interest turned into a passion for surgery while in dental school, thus paving the path for a career in oral surgery.
Dr. Ledford chose to join Mountain State Oral & Facial Surgery because he was inspired by the highly skilled surgeons at its clinics and because of the natural beauty of the surrounding area. He looks forward to providing patients a high level of care in the areas of dental implants, facial trauma repair and orthognathic or corrective jaw surgery.
Dr. Ledford completed his Bachelor of Science degree in biochemistry at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga before pursuing his dental degree at the University of Tennessee School of Dentistry. Fueled by a curiosity about oral and maxillofacial surgery, he went on to pursue a one-year internship at Indiana University Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery to confirm his career choice. He was so inspired by the scope of the specialty and its continuous learning opportunities that he remained at Indiana University for his oral and maxillofacial residency.
Outside of work, Dr. Ledford enjoys spending time with his wife and two young children. Many weekends are filled watching SEC football and attending their local church. In his spare time, you can also find Dr. Ledford playing the guitar and banjo, or even reading up on world history.
